| Introduction to my research pages: |
After almost 30 years of professional performance in the contemporary music field I have amassed not only a great deal of experience in performance but of necessity a great deal of knowledge of performing the music. This knowledge has not only been through empirical work but also through extensive experiment, listening and reading. As these pages develop I intend to share a great deal of the acquired knowledge.
These pages have three aims:
- A resource for oboists
- A recource for composers
- A resource for students looking for information for dissertations, repertoire to play etc.
I welcome questions and comments on these pages as I intend to make them as comprehensive as I can. I hope also to stimulate discussion upon a number of important topics.
