I have been recording a CD of the music of Edwin Roxburgh. This is due for release in early October this year on the Divine Art Label. See my CDs page for more details.
The long awaited recording of works by Ferneyhough ( also Divine Art) looks as if it is about to see the light of day. The editing has been completed and the sleeve notes written – watch this space for more details.
Two other CDs that are in the recording stages at the moment are adisc of music for oboe and electronics and a CD of improvisations - some live and some int he studio.
Concert Performances of Interest
RedArchDuo (Christopher Redgate and Paul Archbold) are performing at the Soundwaves Festival in Brighton on the 28th June at 1.pm at the Brighton Pavilion Theatre. The works to be performed include Holliger’s Cardiophonie, Archbold’s ‘...a little night music...’, Voigtländer’s Salmo Salomonis, an improvisation and two new works from SPNM Shortlisted composers.
Research Work
Paul Archbold and I are in the process of developing some web based teaching materials to offere an understanding of Multiphonics for the oboe. This research material is funded by Kingstron University.
